The annual Children’s Creativity Day was held for the 7th year in Limassol between the 28th and 29th of June, 2014. This year, the Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation joined the Municipality of Germasogeia and the Russian weekly newspaper “Vestnik Kipra” as co-organizers to support this wonderful cause – the development of creativity and talent of children in Cyprus.
The Foundation’s involvement helped the event put on a number of creative workshops and group activities for children at absolutely no cost for the young participants and their parents! There were ten different workshops, each concentrating on a different form of art such as painting, origami, choreography, gymnastics, intellectual mind games and many more.
During both days the event was enriched with a colorful concert programme, magic show and other entertaining performances. The venue was not only filled with laughter and joy but also with lots of delicious smells from the various food booths, which were an integral part of the big fair organized during the event. The fair not only displayed stations with hand crafted items created by local children at various centers, but also a beautiful art exhibition and dog show.
Overall, the VII Children’s Creativity Day was a huge success and we are very proud to have been part of it! As a charity body, the Foundation believes that in addition to family values, the community ought to make a significant contribution to the upbringing and development of children. At the end of the day, whatever values we sow today in the next generation, are those that will flourish in the future.
